Within the twisted passages of a custom-ordered Moblin Maze, there dwells a suprising variety of monsters. These foes are varied in both size, shape and power; but they all go by one name: Maze Lurker.

When creating a maze with Maze Voucher 01, the labyrinth is populated with Maze Lurkers. While they all have the same name, these monsters can be of different mob families. These monsters are typically aggressive, as per monster type (e.g. Skeletons will detect and attack by sound and low HP). When entering one of these mazes with a party, the lurkers' level will be adjusted to accomodate the lowest level party member. To this party member, the monsters will check anywhere from Decent Challenge to Very Tough. When creating a maze with Maze Voucher 04, these lurkers will be adjusted to accomodate the highest level party member. Certain mob families (e.g. Dragons) tend to be higher level than others.

When fighting Maze Lurkers, rewards are standard for monsters of their type. Experience points can be earned, you can gain skill-ups, and treasure can drop. Your party must, of course, all be of an appropriate level for experience points to be earned. Blue Magic spells can also be learned from Maze Lurkers (as per monster type). It is worth noting that Elemental-type lurkers will drop crystal clusters, but not at the normal rate of at least one per kill.

The following list consists of all of the monster families that can appear as Maze Lurkers:
