Job Ability[edit]

Extends the effect of your next enfeebling¹ black magic spell to targets within range. MP cost and casting time² are doubled.
Obtained: Scholar Level 40
Recast Time: Stratagem Charge
Duration: 1 compatible black magic spell or 60 seconds, whichever occurs first

Notes/Description[edit]

1) The in-game description does not mention Dark Magic, Klimaform or Damage Spikes spells such as Blaze Spikes, although this ability does work with them.
2) Casting time affects recast times as well.

Manifestation is a stratagem, which obeys different usage rules than typical Job Abilities.
This ability will cause the compatible casted spell to remove shadows from all targets, similar to a -ga spell.
This ability will double the base mp cost, rather than the -10% cost you get from using dark arts, for example, manifestation dispel would cost 50 mp instead of 46.
If used when Scholar is your support job, this will triple casting times.
Spells that are not covered by this ability will not be affected (no cost or recast changes) and will not remove the buff.

Note: A quick way of seeing if a spell is compatible is to see if its MP cost is doubled while under the effect of Manifestation, incompatible spells will not have their cost doubled.
