Notes[edit]
- Lottery Spawn from a Midnight Wings located in Brutus's Field, around (I-9)-(I-10). The "utu" of "Brutus's Field" on the in-game map is on the level where Black Triple Stars spawns.
- The Midnight Wings begin to spawn at 18:00 each game day, and finished despawning at 6:00 the following day. If Black Triple Stars is present but unclaimed at 6:00, it will despawn with the other bats.
- Black Triple Stars has no minimum respawn time, and can pop twice in one game night.
- For more in-depth information, testimonials, or to add your own experience, about Black Triple Stars visit the Spawn Behavior page.
- When all the Midnight Wings have spawned, Wide Scan will show a group of three Midnight Wings, followed by three Berry Grubs, two Ochu, and a group of four Midnight Wings on the second floor. The placeholder is the first Midnight Wings in the group with four bats.
- There are reports of the NM popping from Midnight Wings other than this one; for more information, see the Spawn Behavior page.
- The placeholder alternates between two IDs, D4 and C0. Both placeholders cannot be alive at the same time.
- The respawn time of Midnight Wings is 5 minutes.
- On Wide Scan, Black Triple Stars appears at the bottom of the group of four Midnight Wings.
- Killing this NM is required to complete the quest The Miraculous Dale. A single kill counts towards both this quest and Trial 3 if both quests are active.
- It may be easier to get this NM to pop using this method. There are 2 groups of 3 Midnight Wings on the level the NM pops on. Wait until 20:00 before you kill any bats, look at Wide Scan and there will be a group of 4 Midnight Wings at some point, the Placeholder is the 1st bat in the group of 4. I've used this method multiple times, and completed 3 kills for myself and 2 friend in 2-3 nights.*

Historical Background[edit]
These NMs are named for the Black Tri-Stars, a famous trio of enemy Mobile Suit pilots from the 1979 animated TV series Mobile Suit Gundam, an incredibly popular and influential anime.
Note that, in this TV series, these three pilots were known for using their famous "Jet Stream Attack;" one of the more dangerous and well known Bat Triple attacks is called "Jet Stream."
