Talk:Shield Bash

Anyone have any idea how this skill is enhanced by either the Aegis, Valor Gauntlets or Knightly Earring? I have the gauntlets, but I don't experience any notable difference in damage. I am assuming that it generates more hate. --Pinkfae 11:19, 26 May 2006 (PDT)

Probably enhances its Stun effect --Chrisjander 11:50, 26 May 2006 (PDT)

The Aegis increases the damage. Shield Bash can do over 200dmg with it. I heard the others, Valor Gauntlets and Knightly Earring, just increase the length of the Stun. --Futan 21:53, 2 April 2007 (EDT)

Valor Gauntlets add 10 damage to Shield Bash. However, Valor Gauntlets +1 say "Enhances Shield Bash effect". Can anyone with the +1 verify what this "effect" seems to be? --Jeff 12:55, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Watched my party's Paladin get Freeze'd in the Quicksand Caves the other night 'cause his Shield Bash didn't stop the spell, so I'm not so sure about the 100% interrupt rate on magic.

"Chance of stunning reduces as the level of the player increases."
I'm not sure this is entirly true either. It may be true to an extent because the level of the mobs you are using it on increases, but i dont think chance to stun goes down while level goes up.--Nesomir 08:24, 2 August 2006 (EDT)

I think it was put down there due to SE's somewhat ambiguous notes when they changed shield bash (or shield skill?). It said that the effect of stun with the changes would be effective early on, but not as effective later. The statement was probably derived from SE's update notes on that issue.--Altimo 15:24, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
