Talk:Shadowbind

Duration[edit]

Shadowbind doesn't (always) cancel from hitting the mob. I have hit mobs without them losing the bind effect.

It could be that the're is a posibility of canceling Shadowbind from damage, but that isn't clear from the current line. Can anyone clarify? --User:Jengel

I have a Ranger in the party right now. It always seems that when the mob gets hit, the bind wears off. One thing I haven't quite got is the effect of Hunter's Bracers. Expect more on this within the next hour or so. --Zero 15:54, 28 May 2006 (PDT)

DoT type spells; Dia, Bio, Burn, Choke, etc... Will all remove Shadowbind after 1 tic. --Firewall 01:14, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

  • May have been changed, dia'd a lizard, then had a member Shadowbind it and lasted normal duration.--Reiku 04:19, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Like Bind (spell), the amount of damage that it takes to break Shadowbind is influenced by your level compared to the target. If you Shadowbind a high level mob, the smallest amount of damage will break the bind; if you Shadowbind a low level mob, it can take more damage before the bind breaks. Additionally, mobs that are specifically immune to ice debuffs (i.e. fire/ice avatars and elementals) are also immune to Shadowbind. --Spider-Dan 20:03, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
