Talk:Sarashi
Sarashi's bonus does seem to be about 1%, but it's confusing. I did a bit of testing with BST75/NIN:
Weapon | Base Delay, TP | DWII TP |
---|---|---|
Tomahawk | 340, 8.7TP | 7.5TP |
Bone Pick | 312, 8.0TP | 6.9TP |
Maneater | 276, 7.2TP | 6.2TP |
10 rounds of Tomahawk+Pick gave 144 TP, as expected: 7.5+6.9=14.4
10 rounds of Tomahawk+Pick+Sarashi gave 142 TP.
10 rounds of Tomahawk+Maneater+Sarashi gave 136 TP.
10 rounds of Pick+Maneater+Sarashi gave 130 TP.
I'd been figuring the effect of DW on TP by division, i.e. 8.7/1.15 = 7.5. If Sarashi were a 1% reduction, that would mean
Tomahawk: 8.7/1.16 = 7.5 Pick: 8.0/1.16 = 6.8 Maneater: 7.2/1.16 = 6.2
But 7.5+6.8 = 14.3, not 14.2. It seems that the Tomahawk gives 7.4TP with Sarashi, not 7.5.
So, I found the formula to calculate TP from delay:
Delay <180: 5 Delay 180-480: (Delay-180)/256*6-5 Delay >480: (Delay+480)/80
Based on that, I get:
Tomahawk: 340*0.84 = 285 -> 7.4TP Pick: 312*0.84 = 262 -> 6.9TP Maneater: 276*0.84 = 231 -> 6.1TP
Which gives the right answer for the Tomahawk, but not for the other two.
So, it seems that something's a bit off somewhere, but it's close enough that I can confirm the 1% number.
