Talk:How-To Guide: Ninja

Hey guys. Sorry it took me so long to get this guide up. "It took you long? We didn't even know, or care." Yeah, well... Anyway, I added one segment about The Sahagin's Stash quest because every Ninja pretty much needs that spell, whether they tank or not. Also, you'll notice I did a lot of new stuff, namely some of my ideal Ninja strategies, using Shurikens and playing the job other than blink-tanking. Personally, I've vowed never to take Ninja past Lv.37 without getting into a static party where I don't have to main tank. I wouldn't mind initial 'Voking for the party, or being there to grab hate when I need to, but Ninja is such a pseudo-tank. I also added a short section about Monster Radar, and another short section about Ninja as a support job. If you notice, I'm highly against BLU/NIN like I am against World of Warcrap. You can take that section out if you feel it's completely unnecessary, but whatever.

All-in-all, I'm quite happy about this guide. I figure the game needs a guide for one of the most-leveled support jobs in the game. I'd still love to try partying as Thief/Ranger one day though.

...Why don't they have a second tier Dokumori or Jubaku anyway?

Regarding Tonko[edit]

Your guide seems to incorrectly assume that the only benefit to Tonko: Ni is a faster cast time. However, Tonko: Ni happens to last a full 2 minutes longer than Tonko: Ichi does. So it does have a stronger effect. --Toksyuryel 04:37, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Fixed.

Ethereal Earring[edit]

Another error has found its way into this guide- the ethereal earring does not reduce damage by taking MP instead; it heals MP by 3% of the damage taken and does not reduce the damage in any way. --Toksyuryel 03:13, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Someone else is doing the endgame equipment. When he's done, he's going to move the entire section over to his own page. You're right though, that is 100% incorrect.

Stealth and Monomi Edit[edit]

The original entry for the Job Trait "Stealth" originally ready: "Since the addition of Monomi Ninjutsu, this skill has become fairly useless". This is partly untrue. Monomi: Ichi is learned at Lv.25, meaning Stealth still remains useful during those twenty levels. The entry was edited to read: "Upon learning the Monomi Ninjutsu, this skill becomes fairly useless". --Nahara 21:15, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

July 2009 Update[edit]

Perhaps you are already conducting research in this, but you should soon add in information regarding Innin and Yonin. I would do so myself but I have little expertise in NIN. User:Totema1/Sig 22:06, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
