Talk:Erase
The detrimental effects that cannot be erased should be noted on this page. I don't know what they are, though ;_; ~kuromatsuri
I was hoping for a list as well having just got Erase, so I tried to put together a list going by the The_Big_List_of_Status_Effects and my own experience. I'm sure someone far more knowledgeable can fix it up and clarify! --Cinnaris 17:47, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
Erase and Petrification[edit]
I don't believe erase removes petrification. My LS said the NM for sleepga II quest requires a White Mage with stona (or at least it's very helpful) as opposed to a Black Mage with erase. Also, while looking at the petrification status effect, it says it's overwritten by terror, which cannot be removed via erase either. --Beaster 00:55, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Enhancing or Healing[edit]
In my memory, and oddly enough, as a WHM for 6 years, I got Enhancing Magic skill up after casting Erase. Even though I have no Screenshot at the moment, and since it WAS classified as Enhancing Magic here (in history page), I would add a Verification Tag on it. And of course if next time I got a skill up (which rarely happen), I would try to provide a link. --Timfung 09:35, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- I personally have never seen or don't recall a skillup for erase, however clarification would be nice. I only changed the category and the NavBox, the description page said healing at the time, here's a breakdown.
- The article was created on 3/11/05 and was classified as Healing Magic[1]
- It was changed to enhancing on 5/17/05.[2]
- On 4/10/09 the enhancing NavBox was added (Gahoo mass added it to every page in the category)[3]
- The next day the description page was changed back to healing.[4]
- I noticed the change and recalled it as Healing and fixed the other two parts on the page.[5]

Confirming this is enhancing magic, see [6], taken today. Editing page accordingly. Tsrwedge 14:55, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
