Difficulty to Get[edit]

Removed "Floating Eye" as this not the same class as Hecteyes.

Hecteyes will check as Decent Challenge with low evasion to Even Match with low evasion as a Blue Mage level 34 in Ranguemont Pass. Apart from dying your main concerns will probably be the magic spells they cast occasionally and the move 'Hex Eye' which is a really effective paralysis move. To avoid being paralyzed do not face the hecteyes while fighting it and equip Chaotic Eye to silence it for awhile if you have the spell. Defense+ food would probably be a good idea and don't forget your trusty Cocoon. There are giant bats called Stirge in the same area which are easily avoided but might slow you down if you decide to kill them off before going for the hecteyes. A Reraise Earring or Scroll of Instant Reraise(500 conquest points) would be a good idea as these things can still kill you if not careful.

Couldn't find the Taisai to check them as I don't have the map for this area yet (quest is open though). If hecteyes weren't such a pain in the rump these would be fairly good for soloing at level 34.--Perim 18:58, 23 May 2006 (PDT)

Taisais are up at the top of the map, but I wouldn't recommend trying them; they are placeholders for Taisaijin, and he will only pop if they are not killed for 72 straight RL hours. You might piss off people who want to kill him. XD --Kyrial 22:23, 4 June 2006 (PDT)

Please do not kill Taisai. Some people actually want to get Taisaijin.

If you want to get spells at lv34, try to get some friends 34-40ish to help you kill Gazers in The Eldieme Necropolis. You can even PT off them, although it will be crummy experience points. You can find the Gazers at the same entrance as the NPC ???.

Not sure but can death ray kill a person who gets it casted on them? From what i've seen it only did less damage to me. Just a strange circumstance? --Pyerzuka 14:56, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

I'd imagine that if it reduced your HPs to less than 1, then it would kill you. Otherwise it's just darkness damage. --User:Chrisjander/Sig 16:17, 15 August 2007 (CDT)
