Eastern Version of Grimmonite?[edit]

Has this been confirmed on recepies beyond Black Ink?--Ctownwoody 20:04, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Although I initially disagreed with this changed I have since switched my mind. I would like to point out as further evidence supporting this change that when making Fish Mithkabobs the Western: Bastore Sardine, Bluetail, Nebimonite, and 2 Shall Shells can be replaced with the Eastern: Hamsi, Uskumru, Ahtapot, and 2 Istiridye. The same can also be said of the Seafood Stew. Although there are quite a few differences between the Nebimonite and the Ahtapot (especially in the fishing level cap, 90 vs 27, and how the former is a small fish and the later is a large fish and hence they stack different) they can certainly be called analogs to each other. --Dukuji 18:45, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
  • Forgot to mention the reason why they cannot be used in Tavnazian Salads. The reason why is because there is no Eastern analog of the Noble Lady. When cooking recipes involving fish you cannot mix and match eastern and western fish, you have to use all from one or the other. See Pescatora and Seafood Stew as examples of this. --Dukuji 18:50, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Buyable at White Gate fishing Guild (H-11)[edit]

Just saw this Ahtapot at guild npc for 5250 Gil. I don't play with edit much so I post it here! --LiquidzPandy 23:22, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

rod break[edit]

Confirmed that Ahtapot will break a Mithran rod with a "terrible feeling" message, and apparently only with that message. updated page.

Scratch that, just broke another one with a "You're fairly sure you don't have enough skill" message.--Nobodyreal 07:54, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

1050 gil[edit]

I can't find any shop that buys this fish for 1050 gil. The most I saw was 780~ish to the whitegate fishing guild. Can anyone confirm where 1050 gil sale is possible? --MishaRamuh 03:57, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
