Historical Background[edit]
- In heraldry, dimidiation is a method of marshalling (heraldically combining) two coats of arms. For a time, dimidiation preceded the method known as impalement. Thus for Final Fantasy XI, the Rune Fencer has a split light then on the second hit, it sparkles.
