I heard that it's a 10% bonus for one Icon, 30% bonus for Double Weather. Rhodoc

Apparently it rains in Ifrit's Cauldron. Should this be added to the chart? Talisein

Alzadaal Undersea Ruins?[edit]

Double water weather happens in Alzadaal, but I've noticed that it seems to be active every time I go there. Perhaps Alzadaal has perpetual double water weather? I'm pretty sure there's no elementals, so it may be a perpetual effect like in Dynamis or Limbus areas. --User:FFXI-Setesh/Sig 17:10, 20 January 2007 (EST)

I've been meaning to add that to FFXIclopedia, but I always forget whenever I'm done with adventures in Alzadaal. Makes sense since it's underwater. --Jopasopa 17:25, 20 January 2007 (EST)

Ro'Maeve[edit]

Was in Ro'Maeve at the full moon, trying to get the Pentasphere, and while waiting noticed double-lightning and water weather, I thought I would have that added in here.

Weather and Scholar -Storm Spells[edit]

As a future append (as more becomes known about SCH -storm series of spells) it would be worthwhile to analyse the impact of SCH weather-related spells. Such factors as estimated distance (in yalms) of effect of weather around the target and duration might allow for some new strategies.

For example, potentially casting Voidstorm on the target of Citadel Buster might decrease that attack's effectiveness to bring it down to dependably-survivable levels, as the target would no longer be in double-light weather (with added measures such as Kirin Osode and/or Light Carol thrown on top for safety.) Furthermore, if the area of effect afforded by Voidstorm was extended enough, the target could even stand next to or underneath Proto-Ultima and thus make the caster itself (the mob) *and* the target in gloomy weather instead of the Temenos standard double-light weather, which may or may not further decrease Citadel Buster's effectiveness. --Chiaki 18:34, 17 December 2007 (PST)

Weather Tendencies[edit]

Is there a way to edit the page to include information about weather tendencies for the given areas? By this I mean like how rain weather occurs in the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah mostly during the Spring (months 4-6); The Jungles having rain and Monsoons very frequently in winter to spring (months 12-3); or how Batallia Downs has Snow weather mostly in winter (months 12-1).

I don't have sufficient data to enter this myself - and I have no clue on how to format such data- but I believe that it could be very helpful to players. There isn't as of yet anything out there that even comes close to such information. NM hunters, mushroom farmers, and cluster hunters could all benefit from that kind of information, and with the introduction of scholar, weather related equipment may not be far off. --Solux 14:02, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

With the addition of Trials of the Magian, this information becomes even more crucial to those of us trying to kill bajillions of monsters under elusive weather. Does this data exist somewhere? Could it be mined? --Khundes 00:45, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Verifying improved Magic accuarcy[edit]

What i have noticed about weather is that they boost your m.acc meaning less resists i've noticed not just in the time i've lvled SCH but when i play DRK in Dynamis and Apollyon and Temenos in Dynamais almost 100% of the time Absorb Tp will take effect and Drains rarly get resisted. Also in i think the m.acc is a 100% thing why because in Apollyon and Temenos i notice that in dark weather thing land 90%-95% (unresisted) of the time and in Temenos Drain fails (1/4,1/8 resists) alot almost every time if i don't put on all my Dark magic stuff and if this was a 50% of the time thing i'd get good drains 30-40% of the time but it's more like 0% unless i put on Dark magic skill gear or use Dark seal. Anyhow i could be wrong but i'm sure that eventully someone will test this but i can pretty much say that weather effects m.acc other wise my drains in Apollyon and Temenos would not vary so massivly weather it's a fixed value or a % chance to kick in is yet to be decided. --Rezeak 23:44, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Tests[edit]

This is just speculation and needs further testing, but weather might also have an influence on crafting similar to day of the week. Currently unknow how much influence if there is some, but if anyone has experimented with this notion, it would be interesting to add the information here. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by G6K (talkcontribs).

Resource[edit]

Someone gave me a link to a page that gathers the weather predictions for the next three hours that keeps updating. It helped me complete my Summoner "I Can Hear A Rainbow" Quest, because i was unable to find Fire Weather.
