Feather tickle definatly does not reduce it to 0. It seems to reduce it by a set amount, between 65 and 100. --Rhodoc

You sure about that? I've done a lot of soloing with a Kraken NIN and I don't remember not being reset to 0 TP after a tickle. --Gatsby 21:55, 6 August 2006 (EDT)

I noticed it mostly on summoner's pets it would not reduce the summoned creature's TP to 0. --Kattrina 01:28, 9 August 2006 (EDT)

What is the take on reflect anyway? In my experience these are nearly impossible to silence but they don't use the reflect ability when they are silenced. What do you all notice?

I think that is because it is more of a Magic Counter than a Reflect. Also, they change between whether their beak is open or not. Wamoura (larvae) do a similar thing. How does this affect them? --Jopasopa 14:51, 9 August 2006 (EDT)

Hide works on them --Ayrlie 14:02, 6 September 2006 (CDT)

Colibri do NOT have 100% resistance to Gravity - at least, not all of them do. I was successfully casting Gravity on Lesser Colibri in a party today. It was by no means common for it to actually stick, but I did manage to get it two or three times. I would say it's more likely they have a Resist Gravity trait than anything else. ~ Elrundir 14:54, 27 December 2006 (EST)

Could their resistance to the Gravity spell be tied to their wind elemental properties? --Jopasopa 15:27, 27 December 2006 (EST)

I just /checked a Lesser Colibri on both Windsday and the following Iceday, and it changed from normal to low defense and evasion at the same point on both days. --Valyana 00:20, 28 May 2007 (CDT)

If they're thieves, like most of us expect, then yes they would have Resist Gravity. --User:Chrisjander/Sig 01:54, 28 May 2007 (CDT)

They are aspirable, and they got quite a bit of accuracy to boot (very hard to keep shadows up on lesser colibri on my level 70 thief that has capped evasion and another +20 evasion from gear). They also have a tendency to hit hard. The gravity resistance is likely due to the fact they are resistant to wind-based stuff (I can't get acid bolt effect to stick to these mobs at all). Check research[edit]

Level 63: Low eva at 226 sword, 61 dex, +0 acc -> 253 acc, should mean 243 eva

Low def at 290 att, should mean 231 def

Level 64: Low eva at 226 sword, 61 dex, +4 acc -> 257 acc, should mean 247 eva

Low def at 295 att, should mean 235 def

Level 65: Low eva at 226 sword, 61+8 dex, +6 acc -> 263 acc, should mean 253 eva

Low def at 303 att, should mean 241 def

Level 71: Low eva 242 dagger, 61+3 dex, +25 acc -> 294 acc -> 284 eva

Low def 342 att -> 272 def

Level 72: Low eva 242 dagger, 61+3 dex, +30 acc -> 299 acc -> 289 eva

Low def 348 att -> 277 def

Level 73: Low eva 242 dagger, 61+8 dex, +33 acc -> 304 acc -> 294 eva

Low def 354 att -> 282 def

Level 81: Med eva 242 dagger, 61+8 dex, +33 acc -> 304 acc -> 334 eva

Med def 322 att, low def 404 att -> 322 def

Level 82: Med eva 242 dagger, 61+8 dex, +38 acc -> 309 acc -> 339 eva

Med def 327 att, low def 411 att -> 327 def

Studio Gobli asserts that L81/82 colibri have 67 AGI, which would mean E/E/e AGI, and would give the level 63 colibri 52 AGI. RDM has D evasion.

Let's check how that works:

  • 63: 136+(63-50)*4.7+52/2=223, 20 low.
  • 64: 136+(64-50)*4.7+52/2=227, 20 low.
  • 65: 136+(65-50)*4.7+55/2=233, 20 low.
  • 71: 136+(71-50)*4.7+60/2=264, 20 low.
  • 72: 136+(72-50)*4.7+60/2=269, 20 low.
  • 73: 136+(73-50)*4.7+60/2=274, 20 low.
  • 81: 136+(81-50)*4.7+67/2=314, 20 low.
  • 82: 136+(82-50)*4.7+67/2=319, 20 low.

Seems to work perfectly if Colibri get a racial Evasion Bonus of +20.

My earlier hypothesis of B AGI was based on someone else's measurements of 81-82 colibri eva, which were 2 points higher than mine. --Valyana 21:38, 14 June 2007 (CDT)

Adding JP info[edit]

Adding from JP info:

  • Resistance: Wind
  • Fast movement speed (faster than player's)
  • Attak Delay: 200 (vs. other birds' 240)

Taking out:

  • Gravity Resistance -- that's just wind resistance.

Wanted to take out (but didn't):

  • Resistance to non-Ice elements
  • WIndsday and Winds/Gales buff

From unscientific personal experience, BLM nuking Lesser Colibri resulted in low damage. Is that from resistance, or from some sort of Magic Defense Up? Also, do these critters have accuracy bonus? I noticed a near 10% drop in evasion when switched from tanking Magmatic Eruca to Colibri. --Itazura 20:16, 11 August 2007 (CDT)

Noticed this on second reading:

尚、コリブリ族は風属性に対する耐性が非常に高く、サイレスが通る可能性が低い上、魔法ダメージを10%カットする。

That's "10% magic damage cut" and very high resistance to Wind element. --Itazura 20:46, 11 August 2007 (CDT)

Friends of mine have noticed that while they're resistant to spells, they're not particularly resistant to the elemental damage from Skillchains (Light/Darkness, Fusion, Gravitation, etc.) --User:Chrisjander/Sig 20:50, 11 August 2007 (CDT)

Lesser Colibri are Aspirable. --Elfi Wolfe 18:20, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Colibri's Beak Closing[edit]

I've noticed, at least on the normal Colibri, that they use up a turn when they close their mouth/beak. Anyone else notice this? It's worth noting in the article if this is true. -Mosh-Ifrit 14:17, 10 January 2008 (UTC) EDIT: Greater Colibri are doing it too. -Mosh-Ifrit 17:46, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Resist Charm?[edit]

These seem to have a Resist Charm on them, failed to charm a bunch of times in a row.

225 Delay[edit]

Did a few tests with the Colibri in east ron (s) noticed they gain 6 tp every hit even up to 300% looked up the tp/delay calculator s came up with a 225 delay. Now the result is for a onehanded weapon regarding to players. Placing a link if anyone wants to check it out.

http://www.sequdaz.com/

Results\ »TP Given to mob: 9. »Delay: 225 - WS in ~63 second. »Haste: 225. - WS in ~63 second. »DPS: 0. - ~8 Round/30 second »TP/Round(Before Store-TP):6.0 TP »TP/Round(After Store-TP):6. TP »100%TP (Before Store-TP):~17. Round(102.%) »100%TP (After Store-TP):~17. Round(102.%)
