To Paste a Peiste (pt.1) - Konschtat Highlands ???: I'd keep a wide berth of that cavernous maw if I were you. ???: Hm? That thing you're holding...
???: Is that...a traverser stone?
???: Well, then that must make you Player name.
???: Joachim's told me much about you. Its a true pleasure to finally meet face-to-face.
Norrah: My name's Norrah. Like Joachim, I'm a native of Abyssea.
Norrah: We're eternally grateful to you, Player name, for coming to the aid of a world not your own.
Norrah: What little help we have to offer, my comrades and I intend to give all to you.
Norrah: Never before has our world seen such dark times. The Abyssean hordes appeared without warning, seemingly out of nowhere.
Norrah: It all happened so suddenly...
Our nations' defenses were pitiful things against the enemy's unquenchable lust for blood.Norrah: The result being a world ruled by death and destruction.
Norrah: It's hard to believe that Abyssea once rivaled your world--Vana'diel, was it?--in beauty.
Norrah: But everything changed after that fateful day...
Norrah: The cavernous maw you see before you leads to the Konschtat Highlands of Abyssea.
Don't let the name lull you into complacency, though, or you'll surely meet a premature end.Norrah: The Konschtat that lies beyond is a far cry from the idyllic highlands that you know.
It is swarming with fell creatures, among which is one that has attained particular notoriety.Norrah: A giant, mutated subspecies of peiste is the best way to describe it. Its venom is reported to be of such potency, a dashing of it would burn a gaping hole through your garb.
Norrah: This beast has wreaked immeasurable havoc upon my people. Putting an end to its reign of terror would restore much needed morale to the resistance effort.
Norrah: I realize that this is but one monster--a drop in the ocean. Yet all journeys, no matter how long, must have a beginning. And this journey is one we cannot complete without the company of brave souls such as you, Player name.
Norrah: There is one piece of knowledge that might give you heart: There're others out there who share your gift.
If you were to join together in common cause, there is no limit to what can be achieved.Norrah: Before you go, Player name, remember always that knowing the enemy is half the battle. Take whatever time you need to acclimatize to Abyssea.
Norrah: The last thing we need is to lose a newfound ally to a mishap that might have been averted.
Norrah: Go carefully now, Player name.
To Paste a Peiste (pt.2) - Konschtat Highlands Norrah: Welcome back, Player name. Norrah: Although I'm hardly the one to say those words to you.
Norrah: Small talk aside, word of your courageous display has already reached me.
A terrible menace is no more, and we have you to thank for it.Norrah: Truth be told, there are often times when I am given to despair.
Norrah: It's as though a voice in my head taunts me, saying that nothing will ever change, no matter how hard I try.
Norrah: But your heroic feats have done much to silence that voice of doubt, and for that, I thank you.
Norrah: Please accept this as a token of my appreciation.
Norrah: It's a ivory abyssite of acumen. I'm made to understand it works especially well for your people.
Norrah: Why has this terrible fate befallen Abyssea? I'm of the belief that everything--no matter how dreadful--happens for a reason.
Norrah: Be that as it may, I don't intend to lay down arms and bare my throat to fate's cruel fangs. I mean to fight so long as I draw breath.
Norrah: Player name. On behalf of the people of Abyssea, I beg you...
Norrah: Please continue to stand with us in our darkest hour.
