Walkthrough[edit]
Enter the battlefield The Orb's Radiance via the Reisen Crystal in the Reisenjima Sanctorium.
- Should the battle be lost, a new Breath of the avatars will be required, which can be obtained at the stone circle at (G-6) of the La Theine Plateau.
If a character's inventory is full at the time of completion, examining the Mystic Receiver will allow for the reward to be obtained.
The Battle[edit]
The battle is against the Cloud of Darkness.
Iroha assists in the fight, and casts, with practically no casting time, various spells such as Embrava, Protectra V, and Shellra V, affecting the party members close enough to her. Other spells include Fire VI, Flare and Flare II. If Iroha is knocked out, she will revive herself and rejoin the fight. There seems to be no limit on the amount of times she can revive herself.
Iroha will also revive player characters upon K.O., using Arise, at which point Alter Egos can be resummoned. As a result, the only way to lose the fight is to run out of time, or not accept the raise.
The Cloud of Darkness casts spells such as Drain, Absorb-Attri, Stone III, and Blizzaga II, moving on to higher tiers up to at least Blizzaga III, Fire V and the likes as the battle progresses.
Auto-attacks of the Cloud of Darkness deal magical area damage to everyone close enough.
The Cloud of Darkness may or may not favour spells aligned with the current day, and/or weather.
During the battle, spheres of darkness will appear in the battlefield, inflicting the effect of Paralyze to those close enough.
- Celling Rupture - Conal area attack. Additional effect of Bind.
- Destitution - Single target physical attack.
- Essence Devour - Single target attack with a drain and status down effect on all the base stats.
- Expunge - Conal area attack, replacing Waning Vigor after Cloud of Darkness's HP gets below 25%.
- Primordial Surge - Frontal attack, draining HP from targets close enough, also pulling them closer in. This also starts a mode where the Cloud of Darkness absorbs magical damage. May instead absorb physical damage depending on an unknown variable. The gem on its head will glow red during this phase.
- Shearing Undulation - Conal area attack.
- Waning Vigor - Conal area attack used after Primordial Surge, ending the phase where damage is absorbed. Damage this ability deals may be related to the amount of damage absorbed prior. Also induces the Weakness status effect.
- Susceptible to weight from Subduction.
- Weak against thunder-based magic.
