Talk:Bastore Sardine

the bastore sarine i could not find at any merchant in windhurst. a lot of running around. please get this right in future.

I'm sorry you couldn't find it, but as you can see from the merchant list on the page, the merchants that sell it are Guild Merchants, which means their availability isn't 100% (or in some cases, not likely at all). If the merchant doesn't normally stock that fish, then they only carry it when other players sell them that fish. Bastore Sardines are one of the easiest fishes to obtain thru fishing. The cheapest rod you can find, and lugworms for bait will pull this fish up right at the docks to the Fishing Guild in Windurst. --Chrisjander 06:04, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

On that note, does anyone else think its a good idea to add an additional note to items that are sold by Guild Merchants. Namely Stocked and Not Stocked. A good example I know of is the Rabbit Mantle. This item is stocked by the Leathercrafters Guild in San d'Oria, and will replenish itself each day. Other types of Leathercrafting materials and armors can be sold to them, but won't be available otherwise. So if we know if an item is stocked, we should note it on that merchant's page, and on the item's page. Anyone else think this is a good idea? --Chrisjander 06:07, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

I think that's an excellent way to differentiate between the two. It would make guild merchant info much more useful I think. --Syeria 14:03, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

I like that idea - go for it ^_^ --Rixie 14:14, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

Go for it, as if I can single-handedly do it myself, lol. I only know a few examples of stocked items, though I could check the Cooking Guild since that's my craft. Hopefully everyone can do the same in their respective crafts and it will all be done ;) --Chrisjander 14:54, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

Maybe if I ever get rich, I'll completely buy out a guild and see what's there the next day D: --Dragonspight 01:46, 25 November 2006 (EST)

I was finding a lot of Bastore Sardines with the Halycon Fishing rod and the Sabiki rig in Mhaura. I'm surprised this zone didn't have an * beside it. Felliar 03:24, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

Port Windurst is awful for catching these. Far too many ripped caps. Mhaura does seem a better option, if not the best. Romon (talk) 15:40, January 11, 2013 (UTC)
