Cleanup[edit]

This article needs some cleanup pretty badly; the table format is horrendous. If I knew how to edit it, I definately would, but I only know minor wiki coding.--Nicknick 22:00, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

It was not like this several weeks ago, someone must have done something and squeeze up the whole thing. --Worax 13:46, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

The new format someone just added looks much worse than before. You can't have a column for "type" when types do not match up across all three quests. The rewards column is also not going to be very useful explaining rewards for all three quests in the same place. It's now more bloated than before, and with no real benefit. --Tsukinomahou 20:09, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't really see a problem here. The design is exactly like the other mission indexes, but with the addition of the additional colums for linking to each nation's related quest. This is necessary because the quest progress is necessary to advance in the missions. And the rewards column is useful for those wanting to find out at a glance what they can get from doing the missions. Tahngarthortalk-contribs 01:31, June 15, 2010 (UTC)

Back to the Beginning type[edit]

Considering that all three branches of the mission require three quests, the last of which is an NM fight, before you can progress in the main storyline, shouldn't we split the type between the two, or even just call it a Fight, since it's all consumed within one Mission? Just makes a bit more sense, but whatever works... --Snojoex 08:41, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

I've noticed that all the missions for WoTG use the spoiler template. This is putting the missions in the plot detail category. I'm not 100% sure how categories work, but is this why the missions are not listed on the mission page? --Arabbear 16:54, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Since it appears most of the WotG "Missions" are actually the series of quests for each nation, would it be possible to list those on this page in some fashion?

I just finished making a page that combines the missions and quests and linked to it on the missions page. --Spardante 04:20, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

For simplicity, I've merged these two pages together.--User:Anthoron/Sig 04:53, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Awesome. Glad that what I did on the other page stuck around. Thanks, I like the new page. --Spardante 19:16, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Why do the Nations link to present day Windurst, San d'Oria and Bastok, instead of Windurst [S], San d'Oria [S] and Bastok [S]? Squitt 15:34, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Not sure. Someone else must have linked them. Gonna change it up. --Spardante 16:36, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
It seems it wasn't linked to the past nations because there's not a general page for Bastok [S], San d'Oria [S], and Windurst [S]. So I just linked them to the only areas you can visit in each nation (Bastok Markets [S], etc) --Spardante 16:49, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Quest renumbering?[edit]

Is there any reason why user DonSpook decided to renumber the quests with no talk about it or anything? --Elwynn 21:55, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

Missions and Medal "lock-in"[edit]

Having completed the San d'Oria (S) storyline, I expected to be able to keep my Medal of Altana without having done anything in campaign (I'm affiliated with Windurst in the past). Instead, my Medal was confiscated and I was busted back to Dawnlight Medal. I'm guessing that the lock-in only applies if you're affiliated with the nation whose missions you completed. Updating the main page correspondingly, but confirmation from other people would help.--31415 02:48, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Confirmed, completing the San D'orian story line when allied with Bastok I lost a Medal after failing an evaluation. Once advancing in the Bastok storyline I was able to advance a medal and not loose it upon failing again. --Apelila 20:39, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
