Walkthrough
Defeat all enemies. Protect the NPCs.
- This Assault is similar to the Mamool Ja Training Grounds Sergeant Major Blitzkrieg.
- You start at G-7. Talk to the center NPCs to start the attack waves.
- If the guarding NPCs are alive, they will each report when a surge of enemies are approaching from their side.
- Although they are guards, they do not survive very long when attacked. Do not count on them for anything more than alerting you of an approaching wave.
- The attackers come in predictable waves. They always come Wamouracampa, then Eruca, then Bombs, then finally a troll.
- When the troll that ends a wave is defeated, a new wave will start advancing. Therefore, you can hold a troll until you're ready to trigger a new wave.
- Two waves approach at once, so split your group accordingly.
- It is possible to hold one Troll Combatant and not the other in order to have only one wave at a time.
- A good strategy is to wait in the tunnels in front of the guards for the approaching waves to come to you.
- Most mobs cannot be slept with Sleep/Sleepga, even with elemental seal. Troll Combatants can be slept without much difficulty.
- The objective is to not let a single enemy attack the Princess or her servant. (NPCs in the center of where you're defending)
- The weaker enemies have very low HP, and can easily be defeated by a black mage's -GA II spell, or by a blue mage's Frypan or Body Slam.
- Battle Dance and Grand Slam work effectively as well, but won't deliver the 1 hit KO as the two previously mentioned spells.
- The mobs seem to have enhanced accuracy and attack but do not hit hard. However, using Counterstance will cause the damage to drastically increase.
- The bombs cast spells such as Fire IV, Flare, and Burn.
- Troll Combatants (MNK) are not defeated as easily. They are Even Match to a level 75.
- After several waves, you will see a special NPC message. (What is this foul creature!? Guards, to my side immediately!) Immediately get to the center. Jorporbor the Hellraker (DRK) will approach extremely quickly to try to capture the princess, if you do not intercept him immediately you will lose. When this NM is defeated, the Assault is won and all other mobs despawn.
