A large-scale version update was conducted earlier today. In addition to Aht Urhgan mission-related content, this update's lineup includes adjustments to Chains of Promathia mission difficulty, a new massively multiplayer battlefield, never-before-seen enemies and equipment, additional merit point categories, and more! Click here for further details!

In the upcoming version update, we plan to introduce a multitude of items and synthesis recipes that will open the door to new weapons and armor with graphics unlike anything you've ever seen before! We will also be giving players another chance to obtain the rewards from selected quests and missions they have already completed. Click here for details.

In the soon-to-be released version update, we plan to introduce "Group 2" abilities for the blue mage, corsair, and puppetmaster jobs. We will also be increasing the maximum limit for point allocation in the "Combat Skills" and "Magic Skills" merit point categories for all jobs. Click here for details.

A new, massively multiplayer battlefield is in the works for the upcoming version update. Click here to learn all about Einherjar!

Vana'diel Tribune Player icon correspondent.jpg - For almost four years Square Enix "published" a newspaper of Vana'diel - the Vana'diel Tribune. Covering such topics as the history of the celestial avatars, files about various animals, and profiles of historic citizens of Vana'diel. The Vana'diel Tribune also covered topics about various recurring and one-time special events, such as Trees Gone Wild!, A Passion for Eggs, and A Monster of a Festival. The tribune has also from time to time provide some detailed views on combat skills (Skillchain Effects) or crafting skills (The Wondrous World of Cooking). With more than 170 articles currently available on FFXIclopedia, the Vana'diel Tribune provides insight into the world, and workings, of Vana'diel.

Wedding Guide - Found that special someone in Vana'diel? Already gave her jewelry and clothing... maybe the Allure Ring and Love Torque? Already plied him with all all the Love, Desire, Amour, Attraction and Romance chocolate he can eat? Not sure how to take it to the next level? You can't move in together and share your Mog House. You can't run off to the Far East (known to be associated with gambling, and possibly chocobo-through nuptuals). You have no choice but to pull the trigger and ask that special someone to marry you. But where to begin? The process is a long one, but those truly committed to each other will be presented with festivities that cannot be beat. Check out the Wedding Guide to check out your options!

Getting Started

Before getting started, please reference our guide, tips and policies on editing. Please note that the Sysops may edit or add to these as needed, so refer back to them regularly to keep up-to-date regarding editing policies. Please also note that FFXIclopedia has many Templates that we use for various pages on the wiki. Please be sure to utilize these templates to keep the uniformity across all pages.

There are four ways for you to browse this site:

  1. The easiest way is to use our Table of Contents to the left. The sysops have placed the Table of Contents on this main page to create a simple site navigation tool for you to use.
  2. The quickest way to find what you are looking for is to use the Search box in the Navigation tool bar on the upper left hand corner of your screen. Enter in any Final Fantasy XI term, and the engine will take you directly to the FFXIclopedia page for that term.
  3. If you do not know what you are looking for, or just wish to browse every single page available on this site, you can view an alphabetical list of All Pages. Albeit an inefficient way to view this site, it will give you an idea of what is completed and what is not.
  4. Finally, if you are just feeling adventuresome, click the Random Page link in the Navigation tool bar. This will take you to a randomly selected page in our FFXIclopedia database.
