As of the 5-10-11 update a lot has changed about Dynamis.

  • Enemies are no longer true sight/ sound, Sneak and invisible do work to move past them
    • Enemies are always up.
    • Time extensions are in a new locations.
    • TE 10 mins+ positions as follows:
      • (H-9) down the first ramp in the middle of Goblins
      • Either bottom of (I-8) or the top of (I-9) just before the end of the Yagudo area before 3rd ramp
      • (K-9) south east most part of the coast line amongst the quadav.
      • (J-7) at the pond amongst the orcs.
      • The 20-minute TE is an Ahriman-type NM called Rearguard Eye. It's hiding in the very northeast part of the area at the topmost area at (H-8) amongst Hydra Corps enemies. This is the same level as Nue's tower. There's a little alcove along the mountains to the west of it that is safe to camp for it.
      • this is the only one that didn't seem to link upon pulling with my sheep pet.
    • You can also stagger the enemies and NMs upon collecting the key items with all of the TE.
    • The boss is a forced pop with Leering Bijou which are collected from the NMs throughout the zone.
      • NMs are a lottery pop with the corresponding enemies of that type.
      • Unlike Xarcabard, there are no free-roaming NMs.
      • There could be a rule that lets only 1 NM be available in the whole zone at any given timeVerification Needed. Just go for the first NM you see available when aiming to get the Leering Bijou.
    • Hydras do not Blood aggro. Unweakened in the middle of them without a problem (with Sneak and Invisible on).

Win Strategies Post-Update

Get Leering Bijou at pond, then attempt battlefield [1]

  • Farm a pop item from NM from around the pond just before you go down ramp to Angra Mainyu; a rare/ex Leering Bijou.
  • Have thief take the Leering Bijou, gather party in NW corner of Fei'Yin area.
  • Take your provoker to the ??? with your thief.
    • There are 4 dragons that spawn when you pop it.
  • Have thief activate Flee, run to the far corner by the map, Perfect Dodge; then have the provoker grab Angra Mainyu and run it to NW corner.
  • The dragons will run back if you attempt to run up the ramp.
    • You get a message "You have left the battlefield" and the dragons will race back to the eye as soon as thief runs out of range.
  • Zerg Angra Mainyu and Key ItemHydra Corps Insignia drops to everyone in party/alliance who needed.
  • Angra Mainyu still casts Death and teleport around but goes down fairly easy to zerging.

Dynamis Weakness Trigger Conditions

Enemy job: RNG THF MNK BST NIN - JOB ABILITY / Any enemy-targetable ability or physical Blood Pact: Rage, except pet commands and possibly Ventriloquy. Pet TP moves (via "Ready" command) will work.

Enemy job: PLD WAR SAM DRG DRK - Any WEAPON SKILL and some Puppetmaster Maneuvers, possibly based on current Automaton frame's deciding maneuvers for Weapon Skills

Enemy job: WHM BLM SMN BRD RDM - MAGIC / Any magical Blood Pact: Rage or enemy-targeted spell with the possible exception of cures and Odin.

You are able to proc during an enemy's 2 hour ability, it seems you can also proc during spell casting

The number of Time Extensions obtained affect your proc rate:

  • 0-2 ~> None
  • 3 ~> Low proc rate / Blue - Potentially transient Amnesia, or nothing.
  • 4 ~> Medium proc rate / Yellow - Terror/Stops 2-Hour/Able to Re-use 2-Hour
  • 5 ~> High proc rate / Red - Terror/Stops 2-Hour/Unable to Re-use 2-Hour

If you !! Red Notorious monster; the NM can use again 2H Confirmed by [GM]Deitsu

Attestation NMs

The Attestations NMs are now spawned by pop items that are farmed from Fomors of the corresponding job.

For example, Goublefaupe is a PLD/RDM/WAR, so you need to farm the Despot's Fortune Parchment that drops from Hydra Paladin, Hydra Red Mage and Hydra Warrior.

They still spawn in the same towers as before, but you trade the corresponding Parchment to the ??? point there, and the NM will spawn.

Unlike before, the NMs spawn alone, without helpers, and you have a 15-minute time limit to defeat it. You can fight it inside the tower safely.

The NMs link by sight with other Hydras.

Cornelia: I have been waiting for you. Do you remember the last words Raogrimm spoke to you? "The link will soon be severed"...

Do you understand the significance of these words? When the soul that was divided is whole once again, towering rage will take on physical form... Yes, a new Shadow Lord will be born. Even I will no longer hear his voice. Even now, I can barely feel the emanations of Raogrimm's faltering spirit. When those emanations fade completely, he will be... The Xarcabard of that other realm is shrouded in a vast darkness, preventing contact from the outside. Even those of us without material bodies are unable to penetrate that mist of eternal night. Until that mist clears, I cannot guide you to Xarcabard. The next place you must venture is the twin of Vana'diel's Beaucedine. There you will find the last trophy to complete the set of keys we need. You must obtain the last trophy. All five trophies combined with our power will create a synergistic force, allowing us to part the shroud for a few precious moments. It will open a path between worlds. Take care, my brave adventurer. May the blessings of Altana guide and protect you...
