__NOSECTIONEDIT__ Administrators, or sysops, are users who have access to technical features that help with maintenance. Those include protecting and deleting pages, blocking other editors, and undoing these actions as well. The FFXIclopedia looks to administrators to perform essential housekeeping chores that require the extra access administrators are entrusted with.

Protected pages

  • There are very few protected pages in the FFXIclopedia. Most notable are the Main Page and individual Job pages. You can suggest changes to these pages on their respective talk pages.

Deletion and undeletion

  • Delete pages, including images, and their history. For information and guidelines, see both FFXIclopedia:Guide to deletion and FFXIclopedia:Deletion policy. To suggest a page for deletion follow the FFXIclopedia:Guide to deletion. Follow this guide to challenge a finalized decision to delete a page as well.
  • Among them are watching the Articles for deletion debates and carrying out the consensus of the community on keeping or deleting these articles, keeping an eye on new and changed articles to swiftly delete obvious vandalism, and meeting user requests for help that require administrative access.

Block and unblock

  • Blocking accounts is done in rare instances and typically because of vandalism only.

Moving

  • Administrators have a fast mechanism to allow them to move articles to new pages or to an existing page.

Reverting

  • Administrators have a faster, automated reversion tool to help them revert vandalism.

Other access types

In addition to administrators, there are Junior Administartors. Junior Administartors have many, but not all, of the above rights. Where rights are granted to the Junior Administartors they are granted in full.
