Notes:[edit]
- Calls his pet wyvern, which follows and assists him in combat.
- It seems that when Zagan uses Call Wyvern any NMs who are still alive will aggro the alliance. Most notably Count Vine and Marquis Cimeries who share the tower with him. It is therefore recommended that Zagan be pulled last.
Historical Background[edit]
In Christian demonology (Late Medieval- Early Modern European), Zagan (also spelled Zagam) is a demon with the dual-title and rank of Great King of Hell and President of Hell, commanding 33 legions of demons. He appears as griffin-winged (i.e. eagle winged since griffin's wings derive from eagles) bull, but who can also turn into a man or as a bull-headed man with griffin wings. Zagan protects counterfeiters and can change copper to gold, lead to silver. He can turn wine into water, water into wine, blood into wine, blood into oil, oil into blood. He can make men witty and fools wise. He also has the power to coin any metal (transform it from ore or bullion into coinage). Zagan is 1 of 69 demons listed in the Pseudomonarchia Dæmonum and 1 of 72 listed in the Ars Goetia (the first section of the Lesser Key of Solomon).
