Notes:[edit]

  • One of the possible bosses for Einherjar - Wing I chambers.
  • Can Draw In its current target.
  • Occasionally spawns Djiggas while fighting.
  • A good strategy is a slow battle of attrition with DoT spells, melee, and PLD tanks while having at least four BLMs paired off into teams of two to cast tier III -ga spells on the Djiggas as soon as they spawn. The boss can be beaten with less than 20 people using this method, assuming hate is set strongly on the PLDs and the melee don't die to unnecessary cone damage.
  • Another good strategy is DDs that are focus on Marid, swap target to Djiggas as soon as they spawn with /autotarget on. So when u kill your target you will be facing the boss or another Djigga very fast. Win with 19 people and a lot of time remaining.
  • Repeatedly uses Proboscis Shower whenever Djiggas are alive, healing itself for anywhere from 1,000-10,000 HP. This move is stunnable, however the stun window is quite short and he builds complete resistance to Stun after about 5-10 minutes of steady stunning.
  • The boss can be kited and damaged over time. This kiting will be similar to the way a player can kite Adamantoise or Aspidochelone to one side of the zone in Cape Teriggan to avoid aggro of other monsters. Even though the player will be drawn in, they can keep running forward to move the mob.
  • His Djiggas will retain hate on any player in the chamber, even after dying and Reraising far away from their home point. This makes recovering from a wipe extremely difficult.

Historical Background[edit]

In Norse mythology, Hildesvini (also spelled Hildisvini) was a boar used as a mount for the goddess Freya (goddess of beauty, love, fertility, war). It had golden hair and could move at incredible speeds. Hildesvini means “battle-swine”.
