Carpenter's Belt is available at Apprentice level, at least in my experience. Only key items and high quality crystals showed up as novice for me. I changed the section to reflect such, although if someone has different results... Feel free to revert. Maybe I'm just blind. Xauna 07:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

It says you speak to guild master, then you can "sign up". But what does signing up really mean? My theory is that you can now have a log of all the successful synths you have done. See the log when you ask NPC to give you recipes. Yes, we know you get the free crystal too. Continuing the theory, you... Oh yeah, you can't like move beyond amateur rank if you don't sign up. Um, i don't know. You could like just skill up and not sign up, once you hit level 10, you could just trade, say, workbench to NPC. Maybe NPC would say, "Hey you didn't even sign up yet, what the heck", nah prolly not. Another theory i got is that as you perform successful synths after signing up, each successful synth is added to the NPC's list of recipes that you can view at any later time by talking to certain NPC. But prolly not exactly true cause i checked my list once for goldsmithing and i got some weird stuff on my list that requires key item that i don't have. Some items; there are 2 or 3 ways to make the same thing. One way requires you have some key item, and (you get benefit of higher quantity produced maybe.) Even if you make the item just the regular way, and (have never made it the way using the key item), you will still get the key item way listed on your list of successful synths. List of successful synths means the NPC you talk to and he says "what rank do you ask about?". you reply, say, "recruit", and he'll say maybe "I'm sorry, you're not ready yet. Does it say on page exactly what kind of crystal you get from each guild master? Not just you get a free crystal, what kind? LDf5% 05:25, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

The guild master is also the person to whom you turn in your test items. If you don't "sign up" you can't get past 10. Granted, just speaking to the guild master the first time will do this. The recipe lists are independent of what you've actually synthed yourself. I've seen those lists, and there are plenty of recipes on them that I've never made. Some of the craft pages list the type of crystal you receive from the guild master for signing up, and it's specific to the guild (it's not a random crystal). When creating the pages, I added the ones I knew and left it as "a free crystal" on the ones I didn't know. If you find out, feel free to list the type of crystal the guild master gives you. Hope that helps. --User:Chrisjander/Sig 05:32, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm rather sure the Carpenter's Kit is available at the Adept Level. I'll have to reconfirm this when I log on today. Inuyushi
