Other Notes

  • Each time you level up and your /pup level increases, ensure you Deactivate and Activate your Automaton so its new level stats will take effect.
  • If you Deactivate your Automaton while it has full HP, you can Activate your Automaton without waiting. It is useful when you are using a mage-type Automaton and it is running out of MP.
  • Each time when you enter a level restricted area, ensure you Deactivate before you enter. Otherwise your Automaton is forced Deactivate and you need to wait for Activate although your Automaton has full HP.
  • Similarly, your Automaton will be forced to Deactivate at the beginning of a Besieged battle, so be sure to Deactivate beforehand.
  • Your Automaton will also be forced to Deactivate when you join a Level Sync party if it is not already at or below the Sync level, so be sure to Deactivate beforehand.
  • Your Automaton will not Deactivate if you re- Level Sync to the same level that you were in.
  • If you toss your starting Animator, Iruki-Waraki will sell you a new one for 10,000 gil.
  • You must have Automaton Attachments equipped for your Automaton to receive the effects of the attachments when using elemental maneuvers corresponding to the elements of the attachments. However, you still receive slight temporary stat increases for a particular stat of the elemental maneuver if no corresponding attachment is equipped.
  • Automatons with the Soulsoother Head have the ability to cast beneficial spells on all members of the Puppetmaster's party. (The automaton and master will always have priority over other members.)
  • In salvage all the Puppets stats are directly tied to the master, ergo having Max HP will limit both Master and Pet, additionally even though the master might have abilities unlocked and a non-mage sub HE WILL REQUIRE magic unlocked in order for his puppet to cast magic with the appropriate frame.
